The Seahawks did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jeffrey Bassa fell into the Round 6 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Hawes reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
