Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: A-. The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.
They will answer for taking safety early while running back, cornerback and other spots went begging. Bortolini has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. They banked enough surplus on Coleman to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Jared Verse and all.
