The Bengals clearly saw something nobody else did in Phillip Webb, taking him 204 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

The James pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
