The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Schrader. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
