The Raiders let McCord fall and pounced. Final grade: D. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Raiders would have aced it. Nick Martin at pick No. 215 is 51 spots clear of where he belonged. Put together, it is a D.
That McCord pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.
That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
