The 49ers won the night they stopped Rourke from sliding. Grade: D.

The tape said wait; the 49ers did not. Gino Garcia went at pick 232, a good 44 picks before the board was ready. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Rourke pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The Bowman Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back and edge rusher still on the board.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
