Phillips should have been long gone. The Raiders pounced, and earned a F.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Raiders shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for TeSlaa left real value on the table behind him. That is an interior defensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left edge rusher open, and the grade is the bill.
