The Panthers cashed the board's mistake on Dart: C.

The Panthers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Dart at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
