A costly weekend of dealing drags the Saints to a D. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Fred Davis at Round 7, Pick 35, a reach of 121 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Put together, it is a D.
They banked enough surplus on Wilson to cover a lot of smaller sins. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
