The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Lions reached some 64 spots for Taylen Green, and value like that does not grow back. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

Landing Anderson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
