Melton should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Seahawks came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

However the rest shakes out, Melton at that price is a win they earned. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The veteran additions, Justin Fields chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
