Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

There is a lot to like until you notice wide receiver is still a hole. The Seahawks never got to the one that mattered most. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

On value alone, Sinnott makes the weekend a net positive. If Hartman pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Byron Murphy II
In pick 16 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick81 Rnd3 Blake Fisher
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Blake Fisher at No. 81 is the proof. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick102 Rnd4 Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at the 102nd pick is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick118 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Ben Sinnott in the 118th overall pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick179 Rnd6 Marist Liufau
Marist Liufau slipping to slot 179 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick192 Rnd6 Nelson Ceaser
The board had Nelson Ceaser higher than Round 6, Pick 17, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick235 Rnd7 Sam Hartman
They talked themselves into Sam Hartman at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
