For all the boxes ticked, the Steelers skipped the loudest one: edge rusher is exactly as bare as it was.

Every board in the league had Milroe lower, and that gap is the story. However the rest shakes out, White III at that price is a win they earned.

The trade work was a quiet net positive. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
