The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Brian Thomas Jr. slide 36 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

If Frazier pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Justin Fields leading the way.

In the end it comes back to Joe Alt, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
