Best value of the weekend goes to the Giants for McCord: B-.

Somebody in pick 248 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Giants sat still while Kyle McCord, the No. 125 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The Dart pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. The back end got a real overhaul.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

A safety of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
