Draft Grade — Browns
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
The Browns let Muhammad fall and pounced. Final grade: A-.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Browns were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The Muhammad steal is the beam this whole class leans on. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Lomu has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The Najee Harris deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Bottom line, with Makai Lemon leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Makai Lemon
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a difference-maker at receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick28 Rnd1 Caleb Lomu
In the 28th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
Pick39 Rnd2 Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick55 Rnd2 Emmanuel Pregnon
A reasonable price with a little left over, Emmanuel Pregnon in slot 55. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick70 Rnd3 Taurean York
Taurean York slipping to the 70th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick86 Rnd3 A'Mauri Washington
Steal is underselling it; A'Mauri Washington at pick No. 86 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick108 Rnd4 Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad in Round 4, Pick 8 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick139 Rnd5 Jalon Kilgore
They let Jalon Kilgore come to them and pounced at pick No. 139. The roster fit checks out.
Pick144 Rnd5 Jadarian Price
Jadarian Price slid further than he should have, and slot 144 is lovely value for the running back. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick147 Rnd5 Michael Trigg
A quiet steal in the Round 5 slot: Michael Trigg for less than the market said. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick206 Rnd6 Aaron Anderson
Aaron Anderson in No. 206 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick248 Rnd7 James Smith
James Smith in pick 248 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
