Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureD+
The Raiders won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B.

The Raiders spent real capital to be 69 picks early on Ty'Ron Hopper, and the board is going to hold them to it. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Mims pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick41 Rnd2 Cooper DeJean
Cooper DeJean slid further than he should have, and the Round 2 slot is lovely value for the cornerback. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick45 Rnd2 Amarius Mims
They barely believed it either: Amarius Mims still on the board at slot 45. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick58 Rnd2 Ruke Orhorhoro
The board had cheaper options than Ruke Orhorhoro at the 58th pick, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick77 Rnd3 Trey Benson
Trey Benson at pick 77 is a conviction pick that outran the value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick96 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Khyree Jackson. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick112 Rnd4 Ty'Ron Hopper
Ty'Ron Hopper at No. 112 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick148 Rnd5 Jacob Cowing
No drama and no debate, Jacob Cowing went about where he belonged in pick 148. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick208 Rnd6 Caedan Wallace
Caedan Wallace at pick No. 208 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick223 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
Trevin Wallace at the 223rd pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick229 Rnd7 Tyrice Knight
Tyrice Knight at slot 229 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
