The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Mason McCormick slide 70 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
