The Steelers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The Steelers went off the board in a big way for Jamaree Caldwell, 85 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Lachey at that price is a win they earned.

They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
