If confidence were a draft strategy, the Steelers would have aced it. Jalen Rivers at the 229th pick is 98 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Mondon Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
