Call it belief, call it a gut call, but John Williams at Round 6, Pick 9 is 81 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D+.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Hampton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
