The 49ers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Sam Leavitt, the No. 39 name on the board, in pick 92.

They will need White to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

A tidy little value on Quinten Joyner in pick No. 167, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

A real head-scratcher, Jordan White in the 174th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
