Call it larceny. Quinshon Judkins sat on the board until pick 188, and the Saints did not need to be asked twice.

The Lacy reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
