SBOTW DRAFTING FOR THEChiefs

Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Chiefs. The Chiefs spent real capital to be 33 picks early on Kenyon Sadiq, and the board is going to hold them to it. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That Ott pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Tight end was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Isaiah World
In Round 1, Pick 29 they get a building block for the line, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61
Rnd2
Kenyon Sadiq
They reached a country mile for Kenyon Sadiq at pick No. 61, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick93
Rnd3
Sonny Styles
A slide stopped in No. 93, with Sonny Styles worth more than the price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick116
Rnd4
Will Lee III
Value with a capital V on Will Lee III in slot 116, a genuine coup. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick129
Rnd4
Jaydn Ott
They read the board right and Jaydn Ott was the payoff at pick 129. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick168
Rnd5
Rasheem Biles
Rasheem Biles at the 168th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
