Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesF FutureC
The Ravens bled value on every deal, hence the D.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Ravens spent the Round 7 slot on Trajan Jeffcoat, a name most had 76 spots down the list. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In slot 30 they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Nate Wiggins
Nate Wiggins slipping to pick 34 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick62 Rnd2 Troy Fautanu
Troy Fautanu at the 62nd overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick113 Rnd4 Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie at pick No. 113 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick130 Rnd4 Jalen McMillan
Steal is underselling it; Jalen McMillan at Round 4, Pick 30 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick165 Rnd5 Javon Foster
They will replay Javon Foster at No. 165 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick218 Rnd6 Ro Torrence
They barely believed it either: Ro Torrence still on the board at the Round 6 slot. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick232 Rnd7 Trajan Jeffcoat
They reached into another round for Trajan Jeffcoat, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick250 Rnd7 Kimani Vidal
A straight-up fair deal on Kimani Vidal at pick 250, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
