More right than wrong for the Steelers, and a B to prove it.

Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Steelers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The White III value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They will need Giddens to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In pick No. 21 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick83 Rnd3 Jalen Milroe
They jumped the gun on Jalen Milroe, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick123 Rnd4 Billy Bowman Jr.
They read the board right and Billy Bowman Jr. was the payoff at slot 123. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick156 Rnd5 DJ Giddens
A reach on DJ Giddens in the 156th overall pick; the board had better options right there. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick185 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
Jack Nelson slid further than he should have, and pick 185 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick229 Rnd7 Ricky White III
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ricky White III at the 229th pick. It fills a real need, too.
