The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 156 spots for Noah Daniels, and value like that does not grow back.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Trapilo steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
