The 49ers let Jackson fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

Somebody in the Round 4 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Donovan Jackson, the No. 64 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Reaching for Dippre left real value on the table behind him. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
