You build a draft on nights like this. Jer'Zhan Newton had no business being available in pick 75, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Everything downstream of Drake Maye depends on Drake Maye, and the building knows it. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want.

Frazier has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
