The rest of the league had time to spare on Eric Gregory; the 49ers did not wait, grabbing him 54 spots ahead at the 252nd overall pick.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.
