Draft Grade — Jets
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
The Jets turned the phones into found money: A-.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Jets took J.J. Weaver at the Round 6 slot, roughly 149 spots before his name belonged. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

The Moore value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.

Pick Analysis
Pick41 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Emeka Egbuka at the Round 2 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick42 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori in the 42nd pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick56 Rnd2 Will Howard
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Will Howard. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick92 Rnd3 Rylie Mills
Value said wait; Rylie Mills in the 92nd overall pick says they were not listening. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick117 Rnd4 Danny Stutsman
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Danny Stutsman in Round 4, Pick 16, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick144 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
A tidy bit of business in pick No. 144, where Oronde Gadsden II graded well above the range. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick152 Rnd5 Kyren Lacy
Steal is underselling it; Kyren Lacy at Round 5, Pick 15 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick155 Rnd5 Jaeden Roberts
No drama and no debate, Jaeden Roberts went about where he belonged in pick No. 155. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick174 Rnd5 Cam Skattebo
A running back of that caliber at slot 174 is the definition of value, full stop. It fills a real need, too.
Pick184 Rnd6 J.J. Weaver
This one needs a full-page explanation: J.J. Weaver in the 184th overall pick, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick206 Rnd6 Rod Moore
They barely believed it either: Rod Moore still on the board at No. 206. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
