The Giants let Monheim fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Jonah Monheim tumbling to the Giants in the Round 7 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Pegues left real value on the table behind him.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 8 of 9 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

The board had Maxwell Hairston higher than pick 103, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
