The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Giants watched Kelvin Banks Jr. slide 62 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
