You build a draft on nights like this. Chau Smith-Wade had no business being available in No. 178, and the Jets did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Every board in the league had Leary lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.
