Manning is the plan now, and the Jets grade out a B.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Jets spent their marquee pick on Arch Manning, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Cook where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Reaching for Stewart left real value on the table behind him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In Round 1, Pick 2 they get the face of the franchise. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick16 Rnd1 Cam Coleman
Nothing to complain about; Cam Coleman went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

A reach for Dylan Stewart in slot 33; a little patience would have been rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Whit Weeks in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.

A straight-up fair deal on Cam Calhoun at pick No. 175, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
