Daniels is the Bears' new face under center. Grade: D-.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Bears did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Van Pran has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Williams.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
