If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Jaylin Simpson at pick No. 128 is 41 spots clear of where he belonged. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

The Robinson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
