Joe1909 DRAFTING FOR THEBills
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Bills

FutureB-
Larceny in pick 109 lands the Bills a B, Hairston and all. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Maxwell Hairston got past him. The Bills do not have to explain a thing at the 109th pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The Hairston pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and quarterback still on the board. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Derrick Harmon
In pick No. 30 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick56
Rnd2
Benjamin Morrison
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Benjamin Morrison in No. 56. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick62
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Xavier Watts at the 62nd overall pick is the proof. The roster fit checks out.
Pick109
Rnd4
Maxwell Hairston
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Maxwell Hairston at cornerback with edge rusher and quarterback open.
Pick132
Rnd4
Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson at pick 132 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick169
Rnd5
Nick Nash
They barely believed it either: Nick Nash still on the board at Round 5, Pick 31. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick173
Rnd5
Mitchell Evans
Steal is underselling it; Mitchell Evans at the 173rd pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick177
Rnd6
Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten at slot 177 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick204
Rnd6
Karene Reid
Value with a capital V on Karene Reid in the 204th overall pick, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick206
Rnd6
Hayden Conner
They paid sticker price for Hayden Conner in slot 206, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
