Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Larceny in pick No. 132 lands the Bills a B, Skattebo and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Cam Skattebo tumbling to the Bills in No. 132 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Colby reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Jalon Walker
In the 30th pick they get a green-dot type in the middle at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins in Round 2, Pick 24 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick62 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson slid further than he should have, and the Round 2 slot is lovely value for the running back. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick109 Rnd4 Lathan Ransom
Good price on Lathan Ransom in pick 109, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick132 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
A running back of that caliber at the 132nd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick169 Rnd5 Jack Nelson
They jumped the gun on Jack Nelson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick170 Rnd5 Connor Colby
The board had cheaper options than Connor Colby at No. 170, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at slot 173 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick177 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. in the Round 6 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick206 Rnd6 Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson at the 206th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
