The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Seahawks reached some 112 spots for Donovan Smith, and value like that does not grow back.

The Brooks steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
