Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB FutureB-
The Buccaneers let Legette fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Xavier Legette tumbling to the Buccaneers in No. 89 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

If Wright pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
They reached into another round for Jackson Powers-Johnson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick58 Rnd2 Quinyon Mitchell
Circle this one: Quinyon Mitchell at the Round 2 slot is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick89 Rnd3 Xavier Legette
They will replay Xavier Legette at slot 89 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick90 Rnd3 Darius Robinson
They talked themselves into Darius Robinson at pick 90, and the board did not agree. It fills a real need, too.
Pick127 Rnd4 Jaylen Wright
Jaylen Wright at pick No. 127 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick188 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
Joe Milton III in Round 6, Pick 13 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick204 Rnd6 Michael Barrett
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Michael Barrett at No. 204. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick244 Rnd7 Miyan Williams
The board fumbled Miyan Williams all the way to the 244th pick, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick255 Rnd7 Darius Muasau
Darius Muasau at the Round 7 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
