The jury is out on the Texans. For now, C+.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Texans reached some 32 spots for Jayden Higgins, and value like that does not grow back. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
