Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Texans spent pick No. 188 on Bub Means, a name the board had a full 57 spots lower. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

The Tampa pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
