Nobody had Da'Shawn Womack this high, and it is not close. The 49ers reached 49 spots to get him at the Round 6 slot. The board sounded every alarm, and the F is the fallout.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Spending an early pick on safety with quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Benny pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
