The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

The DeJean pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Moore falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
