Draft Grade — Buccaneers

FutureB-
The Buccaneers kept it disciplined and banked a B-. The Buccaneers did not so much draft Trey Knox as overpay for him, 42 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Arnold.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner, and a steal at that.
Pick36
Rnd2
Zach Frazier
They reached into another round for Zach Frazier, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick89
Rnd3
Mohamed Kamara
They talked themselves into Mohamed Kamara at the 89th pick, and the board did not agree. It fills a real need, too.
Pick104
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
The board had cheaper options than Cedric Gray at pick 104, and it noticed. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick113
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson in the 113th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick218
Rnd6
Kimani Vidal
They read the board right and Kimani Vidal was the payoff at pick No. 218. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick228
Rnd7
Jacob Monk
They jumped the gun on Jacob Monk, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick246
Rnd7
Trey Knox
A big swing on Trey Knox at the 246th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
