The Panthers lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Panthers would have aced it. Christian Jones at pick No. 137 is 66 spots clear of where he belonged. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while safety went begging. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.
The McCarthy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
