You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Panthers did exactly that with Mason McCormick in No. 95.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Spending an early pick on OLB-EDGE with safety and quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Morgan.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
