The real work happened on the phones. The Bills fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

The cost of the Sweat reach is exactly the players who went right after him. On value alone, Phillips makes the weekend a net positive.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Puka Nacua gives the group a proven body among the projects.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
