The 49ers won the night they stopped Styles from sliding. Grade: D-.

The 49ers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They banked enough surplus on Styles to cover a lot of smaller sins.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
